We are thrilled to share that our rupture disk float collar has been successfully applied in Well XX4-10 Ping 04 on December 30, 2024, at the request of a CNPC oilfield company.
Well Highlights:
Total depth: 3,407m
Open hole section: 2,019m
Horizontal section: 1,131m
Casing-conveyed fiber optic installation
Challenges:
This well presented extreme borehole instability, including:
High risk of collapse, spalling, and coal block shedding
Large, brittle coal block debris, making hole cleaning difficult
Irregular wellbore shapes such as bulges and bottle-necked sections
High risk of fiber optic damage during casing installation
Solution & Outstanding Performance:
By utilizing the rupture disk float collar, we successfully:
Generated buoyancy in the sealed casing section to reduce horizontal drag
Minimized casing running risks, ensuring safe and efficient installation
Protected the fiber optic cable, reducing the risk of damage
Enhanced operational efficiency and achieved far better-than-expected results
This successful application once again proves the reliability and effectiveness of float collar technology in challenging well conditions. We remain committed to delivering innovative and high-performance downhole solutions to the oil & gas industry.
Looking forward to collaborating with industry partners to achieve more milestones!
